Have you ever felt like you never get much out of life? I have. Is it the nature of consciousness?

I used to think I wasn’t good enough to succeed. You know, sometimes, I somehow feel I am not qualified or deserving like everybody else.

I did attempt things, but I always quit when obstacles came around.

Easily distracted, I wandered from adventure to adventure, from event to event without much follow-through.

Then, one day I was at an event where I distilled my life into a statement of intention.

I discovered that I had intended to be awake and help others awaken.

It’d been there all along, all my life probably. It is this desire to know more, to be more, and to help others understand what life is all about.

At the age 6, my brother’s death led me to an understanding about humans and their grasping to understand life. The way my parents and everyone I met was thinking about themselves was foreign to me. I knew there was more to the story than what I was being told in church, school, and home.

I did go around to many churches as a kid on a bicycle. It seems funny now, but you know when a child has a question they want it answered.  I was tenacious.

My life has been a sort of a quest, to understand for myself experimentally what life is and be able to articulate it in such a way to help people understand who they are and make the best life they can.

I studied all kinds of things with all kinds of people, I won verse memorization contests in bible school. I read the book a couple of times, The New Testament more than The Old.  And I studied with the Dalai Lama, Ram Das, Timothy Leary, Richard Bandler, and so many others over the years I have left many out.

Looking back now a couple of things seem critical. The first is uncovering my purpose and equally important is the understanding of the toriod nature of consciousness. Immediately I can see how a lack of motivation and drive can only be noticed in contrast to actual motivation. I have access to motivation. I just focused on the less productive things.

Recently, over the course of a few months, a new way of seeing things has become more and more clear, and it’s making all kinds of things clear in new ways.

Everything that has a pattern has some form of consciousness.

We can work with this knowledge and shift your view enough to give you the advantage of your own history. What my struggles were has given me knowledge of the struggles of life.

My emptiness has turned to spaciousness and my sorrow joy.
